Guidelines…

Every Muslim Must Know the
basics of…

• Fiqh : Islam
• ‘Aqidah : Iman
• Tasawwuf : Ihsan

Islam means the achievement of peace with
Allah, within oneself and
with the creation of Allah,
through willing
submission to Him.
.
Islam

Iman is faith in Allah. Iman implies belief in the
Oneness of Allah
and the prophethood of Muhammad SAW.
A person with a strong iman will consider himself and all his
possessions as belonging to Allah. He will bow his ego, his
ideas, his passions and his thinking to Allah.
Iman also implies belief in the life hereafter and in one’s
ultimate accountability for one’s deeds. A person with a firm
iman will not dodge responsibility for his actions,
and will continuously emphasize good deeds.
Iman

Ihsan is the love of Allah. This love of Allah
motivates the individual Muslim to work
towards attaining Allah’s Pleasure.
The Prophet Muhammad SAW describes ihsan as follows:
To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot
achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that
He is looking at you.
The constant feeling that Allah is watching is likely to prompt
Any person with Ihsan to behave at his/her best.
Ihsan

Everyone is a Leader
“Behold! Everyone of you is a leader and you
shall be asked about those you lead.
The imam is a leader over the people and shall be
asked about them;
a man is a leader of the house and shall be asked
about his household;
a woman is a leader over
her children and she shall be asked about them.”
(Hadith narrated by ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar as recorded by
Bukhari & Muslim)
