Music Concert Report Sample
Concert Report #2 I went to the Mark Flood: Greatest Hits concert on May 5, 16.
The performance is presented in the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston. The
genre of the concert was Saxophone Quartet and I believed the music is from
Contemporary Era. There was four pieces, which composed by four different
composers were performed. They started by the Walk the Walk by Michael
Daugherty, I liked the beginning piece because my mood for this piece was happy
and joyful. The beat was powerful and made myself into the song. The second piece
was the Jungle by Christian Lauba, the tone color were bright and mellow. I felt

I was not really into it, the tempo was weird for me and I didn t quite get the
melody. It went very fast, very fast, fast, back to moderate, then fast again which was
pretty confusing. . They ended the concert with Saxophone Quartet No.2 by Joel
Love, which was five following pieces; Always, Whispers, Million Will Die, Lullaby,
and This just In. All the pieces have only movement, except Saxophone Quartet No.2,
which has five. There was five performers were performing. Dan Gelok, soprano
saxophone; Matt Singletary, alto saxophone; Seth McAdow, tenor saxophone; Evan
Withner, baritone saxophone; Blake Wilkins, percussion. There was actually a special
purpose to the concert, according to CAMH, Musiqa celebrates modern creative arts
through interdisciplinary concerts that highlight modern music and its connections to
literature, film, dance, art, and more ( Concert ). I have to admit that I was not a
fan of saxophone before I came to this concert. However, I liked the concert, a lot.
They sounded pretty joyful and also they played the music to present the art works,
