My Learning Journey :
My story began in Experimental School, Surat, where curiosity guided me from nursery through eighth grade. I loved exploring everything from dance and art to science and debate. At six, I started Bharatanatyam, completing my Arangetram in 7th grade an experience that taught me discipline and grace.
I later studied at Jeevan Bharti School and then returned to Experimental for 11th–12th with Allen Coaching. Transitioning from Gujarati to English medium was tough, and not achieving my desired JEE score was painful, but it became my lesson in resilience and self-belief.
College at PDEU opened a new chapter. Through VLSI, Digital Design, and Data Science, I discovered how creativity and logic coexist. I designed a CPU in Logisim and worked on Deep Learning for Satellite Image Classification.
Outside academics, I found expression in dance competitions (reaching the IIM finals) and Jharokha, the literature club where I blended art with ideas. Hostel life, friendships, and club work helped me grow from an introvert into a confident, independent learner.
From ghungroos to logic gates, every step shaped me into someone who values creativity, courage, and continuous learning.

My Learning Journey From a Curious Schoolgirl to a Purposeful Engineer Divija KavishvarRoll no: 23BIT100ICT Division-2 “Some stories aren’t written in ink, but in the lessons we learn along the way.”
The Early Steps: A Childhood Full of Curiosity My formative years began at Experimental School, Surat, where I spent my time from nursery to 8th grade. This was a Gujarati-medium school, a close-knit and nurturing environment where curiosity was not just permitted, but actively celebrated. Learning felt joyful and organic. I was the child who eagerly signed up for every extracurricular activity from dance performances and drawing contests to science fairs and debate competitions. My education was never confined to the pages of a textbook; it was a blend of observation, participation, and finding underlying patterns in the world around me. In those early years, I realized that education wasn’t just about scoring high, it was about exploring every color of experience.
The Rhythm of Grace: My Bharatanatyam Journey Discipline & Devotion I began Bharatanatyam in 1st grade . For six continuous years, the rigorous practice became my second language. The pursuit of perfection in each mudra and the mastering of complex rhythms taught me profound discipline and devotion to craft. Arangetram Achievement Performing my Arangetram in 7th grade was a milestone. Surrounded by my gurus and family, the performance was the culmination of years of hard work. This experience deeply ingrained the value of persistent effort. Mindset for Engineering The biggest takeaway was the mindset of persistence through repetition . This ability to stay grounded, graceful, and determined, even when facing physical or mental strain—is crucial for problem-solving in engineering today. It wasn’t just art it was character-building. It taught me to stay grounded, graceful, and determined, even when my legs ached or when steps went wrong.
Creativity Beyond Classrooms: The Foundation of Logic Painting & Perspective My time spent in drawing classes taught me perspective, color theory, and imagination , skills vital for visual communication and design thinking. Music & Timing Music lessons refined my sense of timing, rhythm, and patience . These skills, though artistic, laid a subconscious foundation for understanding logical sequences. Pattern Recognition Together, these creative outlets built a unique rhythm that allowed me to see patterns in sounds and shapes, and later, critically, in logic and code . I was fascinated by how a blank page could turn into art, just like how a few lines of code could turn into a program. That connection between art and technology became one of my strongest motivations later in life.
Confidence Through Challenges: Finding My Voice School involvement was about more than participation; it was about development. I competed fiercely in events ranging from debates and science quizzes to storytelling and cultural shows , accumulating several early successes. 1st State-Level Quiz Winner of the state-level General Knowledge quiz in 9th grade, confirming my commitment to broad-based learning. 10 Best Student Award Honored with the Best Student Award in 7th grade, competing against students from ten different schools. 1 Transformative Skill The single most transformative experience was overcoming my natural introversion through public debating . As an introvert, speaking publicly terrified me. Yet, every time I stood on stage, I learned to push past that trembling voice. Those debates weren’t about winning arguments they were about finding confidence in my own voice.
The Transition: From Comfort Zone to Courage Classes 9-10: Jeevan Bharti School A geographical and emotional move that forced me to adapt quickly, make new connections, and embrace new teaching styles, stepping outside my initial comfort zone. JEE Preparation Phase Classes 11-12 at Experimental School, coupled with Allen Surat coaching . This phase demanded intense focus and technical skill acquisition. Medium Switch Challenge The switch from Gujarati-medium to English-medium was a substantial hurdle. Initially overwhelming, I invested extra hours until English became a strength, not a barrier. Learning Resilience When the JEE results were disappointing, it was a valuable lesson: our worth isn’t tied to an exam score . This moment of failure taught me resilience and redirected me toward my true path.
A New Chapter: College at PDEU, Gandhinagar In 2023, I commenced my studies at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) in Gandhinagar, pursuing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) alongside a minor in Data Science . This marked my first experience away from home—a new city, hostel life, and an entirely fresh academic landscape. The initial period was challenging; adjusting to new routines and the absence of home comforts required significant self-adjustment. Hostel Lessons Hostel life quickly cultivated self-dependence, time management, and adaptability , forging essential life skills beyond the classroom. Lifelong Bonds Crucially, I found lifelong friends companions who provided invaluable support during late-night study sessions and moments of personal growth.
Discovering My Passion in Technology: Creativity Meets Code College coursework provided the framework to realize that engineering is fundamentally creative . My focus quickly sharpened on areas that bridge theoretical logic with practical application. Architect of Logic Exploring VLSI and Computer Architecture , I designed a CPU in Logisim . This exercise was foundational, illustrating how complex systems are built from simple logical gates. Data Science Minor My minor opened doors to the vast fields of Machine Learning and Deep Learning , integrating advanced computation with problem-solving. Applied Intelligence I executed a significant project: a CNN-based satellite image classification , successfully combining technological expertise with a commitment to environmental awareness. It was here I realized my passion for bridging hardware and intelligence , where circuits meet computation and creativity meets code.
Expressions, Clubs & Competitions: The Balance of Self Maintaining a balance between academic rigor and artistic expression has made my college journey holistic and human. My creative pursuits, which began in childhood, continue to thrive. The Dancer Returns I continued with dance and proudly reached the final round of the IIM Duet Dance Competition in my second year, proving that art and academics can coexist harmoniously. Core Member of Jharokha I joined Jharokha , PDEU’s literature club, serving as a core member of the creative department . My responsibilities included curating event themes, writing content, and designing outreach campaigns. Rediscovering Storytelling Through Jharokha, I re-engaged with my love for storytelling —a passion that started with the rhythm of Bharatanatyam and now translates into the coherent structure of written and verbal communication.
Lessons, Growth & Gratitude Looking back at the journey from the curious schoolgirl performing her Arangetram to the young engineer debugging circuits every phase has been integral to my growth. Each moment, whether a success in a competition or a struggle with an exam, has shaped me into a stronger, more self-assured individual. Growth is Continuous I've learned that learning never stops . It happens not only in classrooms but also on stage, in late-night hostel talks, and especially when things don’t go according to the initial plan. The Power of Balance The blend of technical rigor and creative expression is my unique strength. I stand ready not just as an ICT student, but as a holistic professional. A Learner for Life My core belief remains that creativity, courage, and curiosity are the fundamental tools that allow us to build anything be it a complex circuit or a meaningful career. “I didn’t just learn from books, I learned from every experience that dared me to grow.”
