MyStatus Login Tutorial

2. Welcome! This tutorial will demonstrate how to log in to the MyStatus portal. There are three methods you can use to log in to MyStatus : In Method 1 , you will use your UTEP Login Credentials In Method 2 , you will use your Student ID, Date of Birth, and Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number In Method 3 , you will use your E-mail Address and Date of Birth

Method 1: Using your UTEP Login Credentials Open your browser and go to mystatus.utep.edu You are prompted to enter your UTEP account login credentials: The UTEP account login credentials are available for students who have been admitted If you have not been admitted or do not have a UTEP account, this is not a problem, proceed to the second method

4. Method 2: Using your Student ID, Date of Birth, and Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number Go to the MyStatus homepageSelect "Click here to register for a MyStatus Account"

Method 2: Using your Student ID, Date of Birth, and Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number Enter your Student ID You can find your Student ID in correspondence you may have received from the Office of Admissions, Office of Student Financial Aid, or the Office of Scholarships The student ID begins with the number “8” and will have this format; 8xxxxxxx Next, enter your Birth Date Complete this method by entering the last four digits of your social security number Select “Register” to proceed to the MyStatus portal If you do not have a Student ID, proceed to the third method

6. Method 3: Using your E-mail Address and Date of Birth Go to the MyStatus homepage Select "Click here to register for a MyStatus Account"

7. Method 3: Using your E-mail Address and Date of Birth On the registration page, find and click on the link, “Don’t have an ID?”

Method 3: Using your E-mail Address and Date of Birth Enter the email address you recorded when you completed and submitted any of the following: Application for admission Application for financial aid Application for scholarships Next, enter your Birth Date Click “Submit” PLEASE NOTE - Upon clicking submit, an e-mail containing your PIN will be sent to the address just entered. This PIN is valid for 10 minutes and will no longer be valid upon expiration. If your PIN expires before you are able to use it, repeat method 3.
