4. Introduction Learning needs assessment process is a series of activities conducted to identify problems or other issues. The needs assessment/analysis is usually the first step taken to cause a change. By conducting a learning needs assessment with prospective students, the learning provider can identify what objectives of the programmes are needed. 20. Cont… Once educational objectives are determined, it becomes easier to identify goals. It is useful to put both long and short term goals in writing, so that they can be referred to later.
