Temprature measurment The instrument which use to measure the temperature of any object. There are two modes to measure the temperature 1. contact type 2. non contact type In contact type we use RTD, THERMOCOUPLE ,THERMOMETER etc. on the other non contact type we use the PYROMETER,INFRARED THEROMETER, THERMAL IMAGERS etc.

Temperature measurement  Resistance Temperature Detector RTD stands for Resistance Temperature Detector. RTDs are sometimes referred to generally as resistance thermometers. An RTD is a temperature sensor which measures temperature using the principle that the resistance of a metal changes with temperature. In practice, an electrical current is transmitted through a piece of metal (the RTD element or resistor) located in proximity to the area where temperature is to be measured. The resistance value of the RTD element is then measured by an instrument. This resistance value is then correlated to temperature based upon the known resistance characteristics of the RTD element. We manufacture 2, 3 or 4 wire RTDs. Pt-100, Pt-1000 are the common types.

THErmocouple A Thermocouple is a sensor used to measure temperature. Thermocouples consist of two wire legs made from different metals. The wires legs are welded together at one end, creating a junction. This junction is where the temperature is measured. When the junction experiences a change in temperature, a voltage is created. There are many types of thermocouples, each with its own unique characteristics in terms of temperature range, durability, vibration resistance, chemical resistance, and application cSuitable for wide range of temperature upto 1700 Degree C FEATURES: - Type: J, K,T, E, N, S, R, B Higher Accuracy & Stability Standard: Indian Standard (IS) or European or DIN / IEC or American Standardompatibility

PYROMETERS These are the non contacting type instrument . Pyrometers measur the Pyrometer also is known as an Infrared thermometer or Radiation thermometer or non-contact thermometer used to detect the temperature of an object’s surface temperature, which depends on the radiation (infrared or visible) emitted from the object. Pyrometers act as photodetector because of the property of absorbing energy and measuring of EM wave intensity at any wavelength.temperature without touching the object . The basic principle of the pyrometer is, it measures the object’s temperature by sensing the heat/radiation emitted from the object without making contact with the object.

types and feature Types of Pyrometer To detect the different object’s temperature, pyrometers are classified into 2 types. They are, 1. Infrared / Radiation pyrometers 2. optical pyrometers Features Range: 600 to 3000 deg c Response time 10ms

Optical pyrometer The optical pyrometer is a non-contact type temperature measuring device. It works on the principle of matching the brightness of an object to the brightness of the filament which is placed inside the pyrometer. The optical pyrometer is used for measuring the temperature of the furnaces, molten metals, and other overheated material or liquids. Wide Temperature Range 800ºC–1500ºC Features:- Fast Response and Sensitive Measuring System Light Weight & Portable High Measurement Accuracy Applications: - Optical Pyrometer is suitable for measuring high temperature in annealing and hardening furnaces, in firing kilns, of molten and flowing metal or glass as well as incandescent blocks during forging, pressing or rolling.

Pressure mearument instruments A pressure measurement instrument is a device that is used to measure the pressure of a fluid or gas in a closed system Pressure is a fundamental concept in physics and fluid mechanics that refers to the force exerted per unit area on a surface. Pressure is a scalar quantity and is typically measured in units such as pascals (Pa), pounds per square inch (psi), or atmospheres (atm

There are two types of instruments that are used to measure the pressure of the fluid and gas in a closed system Absolute pressure transmitter Differential pressure transmitter . Principle A pressure transmitter is a device that measures the pressure of fluids or gases in a process and converts it into an electrical signal that can be used for monitoring or control purposes. There are several different working principles that pressure transmitters use to accomplish this: A pressure sensor converts the physical quantity ‘pressure’ into an industry-standard electric signal

Absolute pressure trammitter Features GPRS/3G/4G equipped Built-in lithium battery power supply, optional 24V external power supply Battery Life 2 times / day, can be used for more than 5 years Data reporting interval can be set in the background Back-lit LCD Display Applications Oil & Gas Power Metals Cement Sugar Water Pulp & Paper Fertilizer

Differential pressure transnsmitter Pressure transmitters are used to measure the pressure or level of industrial liquids and gases. The transmitters utilize a high stability piezo-resistive single crystal silicon resonant sensor. Uniquely manufactured with semiconductor technology, with state-of-the-art microprocessor based electronics to provide exceptional performance and functionality. These sensors offer high sensitivity and good linearity at constant temperature. Differential pressure transmitter works on the principle of differential capacitance. The sensing element is a taut metal diaphragm located equidistant between two stationary metal surfaces, comprising three plates for a complementary pair of capacitors .

Level measurement instruments Level measurement is the process of determining the height of a liquid and solid in a vessel or container. The basic definition of level measurement is the linear distance between the top surface of a liquid or solid and a predetermined reference point like in a tank. There are many type of level transmitter to measure the level of a closed system. Types of level transmitter There are two type of level transmitter 1. contact 2. non contact

Medical devices

NON CONTACT TYPE :- There are also two types of non contact level transmitter . Ultrasonic Radar Ultrasonic level transmitter :- An ultrasonic level transmitter is mounted on the top of the tank and transmits an ultrasonic pulse down into the tank. This pulse, travelling at the speed of sound, is reflected back to the transmitter from the liquid surface. The transmitter measures the time delay between the transmitted and received echo signal and the on-board microprocessor calculates the distance to the liquid surface using the formula.

Flow measure transmitter A flow transmitter is a device that measures the flow of a specific substance, usually liquid, through a series of pipelines or tubing. It converts the flow measurement into an electrical signal that can be transmitted to a remote location for monitoring and control purposes . Types :- There are many types of flow transmitter . 1. Ultrasound 2. Differential pt 3. Turbine 4. Electromagnetic 5. Thermal 6. Orific

Electomegnetic flow transmitter Principle of Magnetic Flow Meter Based on Faraday’s Law. Magnetic flow meters work based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction. According to this principle, when a conductive medium passes through a magnetic field B, a voltage E is generated which is proportional to the velocity v of the medium, the density of the magnetic field, and the length of the conductor. Applications :- 1. Water Abstraction 2. Revenue Metering or Billing 3. Drinking Water Distribution Networks 4. Irrigation 5. Leakage Detection 6. Cooling Water 7. Industry Water 8. Waste Water 9. Sea Water 10.Sewage and Sludge

Turbine flow transmitter Turbine Flow Meter is a volumetric measuring turbine type. The flowing fluid engages the rotor causing it to rotate at an angular velocity proportional to the fluid flow rate. The rotor blades are usually made of stainless steel and the rotational speed of the rotor depends upon the flow velocity. As the rotor spins, the passage of each rotor blade past a pickup point generates an electrical pulse. The electrical pulses are created in different ways depending upon the rotor blades themselves and the pickup unit characteristics. Application These are used in oil and gas, water and wastewater, Gas utility, Chemical, Power, food, and beverage, Aerospace, pharmaceutical, Metals and mining, and pulp and paper .
