Notice Writing
What is Notice Writing? A notice is a written or printed announcement It is written in order to inform a large number of people about something that has happened or is about to happen. It could be an upcoming event, competition, Lost and found notice or just a piece of information to be delivered to the targeted audience. It is generally written in a formal tone.
Format for Notice Writing
Example You are Rama/ Raman, the head girl/boy of Aurobindo School, Dehradun . Your School is organising a tour to Rajasthan. Write out a notice inviting students who want to join the tour. Put the notice in the box.
The students of classes 6 to 8 are hereby informed that the school is organising a tour to Rajasthan. The details of the tour is as follows: Date of departure: 1 st July 2020 Date of arrival: 8 th July 2020 Total fee: 10,000/- (inclusive of train ticket, fooding , sightseeing and lodging ) Interested students can give in their names to their respective class teachers before 20 th June. Rules to be followed while drafting a notice Name of the institution/firm/agency should be capital. NOTICE should be written on the centre. The date should be in an elaborate form. The body of the notice should not begin in the 1 st person form, i.e. I, me , mine but should begin in the 3 rd person form.

Write a notice informing the students about a debate competition to be held on 25th September . You are Abhaya , the Sports Captain of D.A.V. Model School.
