INTRODUCTION
OCD is characterized by obsessional thoughts and
compulsive behaviour to neutralize the repeatative
thoughts or ideas.

DEFINITION
•OCD is defined as the excessive thoughts that
leads to repeatative behaviour.
(Example. Fear of germs, need to arrange object in
specific manner.

INCIDENCE
80% cases before 18 years
More often begins in adolescence or
early adulthood
Equally common among men and women
