5. O P. Jindal School is a dream come true for me. It is not very far back when the foundation stone of the school was laid. It gives me immense pleasure to notice the brisk pace with which O. P. Jindal School, Raigarh is growing. OPJS aims at providing the highest quality of academic programmes that foster the all round development of a child and provide them human values. OPJS will serve as a platform for the new generation of leaders and visionaries, to make our students global citizens. Getting involved in such exchange programmes help us to establish international links with educational communities in order to keep pace with the changing national and international realities represented by globalization, multiculturalism and peaceful international cooperation . 14. WHAT IS OUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE? Our day starts at 7 a.m.(school starts), till 1 p.m.(sat. half day, Sunday holiday). Our day starts with an assembly(regular), where there’s a lot to learn as each week it’s a different grades turn to present the assembly in their own way, and after our prayers and speeches our principal shares his fresh thoughts everyday, after which we sing our National Anthem. Then starts our preparation for future i.e. our study time our school offers Science, Social Sci., Math's, P.E., I.P., Language(English, Hindi and Sanskrit). In general we have 8 classes a day, with a break of 20 min. after 4 periods. Our lessons are of 45 min. and there is an interactive communication during the classes between the teachers and student and language(English) periods are a treat for the students as these acts as stress buster for students everyone waits for this period to come.
