What is Education Service Contracting (ESC) “The ESC Program is a partnership between the Department of Education and the Private Education Assistance Committee. It’s designed to help Grade 7–10 students in private schools by subsidizing part of their tuition fees.” The ESC (Education Service Contracting) grant is not a scholarship because it is not awarded based on academic competition or merit; instead, it’s a government subsidy given to qualified students to help cover tuition fees in participating private schools.

What is Voucher Program Beneficiary ( VPB ) “Just like ESC, the SHS Voucher Program is not a scholarship . It’s a tuition subsidy for Grade 10 completers who wish to continue their education in Senior High School, especially in private schools. The goal is to make SHS more accessible to all learners, regardless of their academic rank.”

ESC Grant Benefits Annual subsidy amount (P 9,000.00) Duration: from Grade 7 until Grade 10

ESC Eligibility To qualify for the ESC subsidy, a student must: Be an incoming Grade 7 student (first year of the ESC grant). Be a Filipino citizen .

SHS VPB Grant Benefits Annual subsidy amount P 17,500.00 if from Public JHS P 14,000.00 if from ESC Participating School Duration: from Grade 11 until Grade 12

SHS-VPB Eligibility Senior High School Voucher Program Automatically Qualified Learners Category A:  All Grade 10 SY 2024 – 2025 completers in Public Schools operated by DepEd Category B:  All Grade 10 SY 2024 – 2025 completers in private schools who are ESC grantees

Only learners in the categories below need to apply for vouchers, and shall be referred to as voucher applicants ( VAs ). Category C:  All Grade 10 before SY 2024 – 2025 completers Category D:  All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are not ESC grantees Category E:  Learners who passed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency ( A&E ) Test for Grade 10 by the  start of the school year Category F:  Learners who passed the Philippine Educational Placement Test ( PEPT ) for Grade 11 by the start of the school year.

Documentary Requirements for New Applicants (ESC) Grade 6 Report Card (Form 138). Birth certificate (PSA). ESC application form from the school Recent 2×2 ID picture If applicable: Certificate of indigency Certification from previous school if transferring from another ESC school.

Conditions to Maintain the ESC Grant Must be promoted to the next grade level at the end of each school year (no repetition). Must stay in the same ESC-participating school (unless officially transferred to another participating school). Must maintain good standing in behavior (no serious disciplinary violations). Must comply with all DepEd– PEAC requirements and deadlin
