PUSAT JAGAAN BERIBUAN KASIH
Pusat Jagaan Beribuan Kasih is a special home
for less fortunate children and senior citizens.
It was formed in year 2003.
The present home is a single storey house
situated at Kajang.
Currently, this orphanage consist of 35 residents
including 25 children, 2 toddles (small babies)
 and senior citizens.
The founder of this orphanage is Ms Kavitha.

Reasons for visiting:
REASON 1
The founder of this
orphanage, Miss Kavitha, is
a women who have a very
big heart who loves
children. During day time,
she is a kindergarten
headmaster. However, she
also runs an orphanage all
by herself. She deserve
help from outsider like us.
REASON 2
Some of the kids are here
is because their parents
can’t afford to raise them
some comes from parents
have abandoned them or
where parent is unable to
cope with the divorce.
REASON 3
One of our member have
visited this orphanage
before for charity work, so
he have the connection
with this orphanage. And
also base on his
experience, we know what
this orphanage need.

BEFORE THE EVENT
4 meetings were conducted before the
event day.
These include  preparation and
distribute the task eventually.
Our Commander, Andy usually
conducts the meeting and assisted by
our Deputy Commander, Eric

for us to plan our activities

Upon our arrival there we were greeted by Ms Kavitha, the person in
charge and founder of the orphanage
She is very kind and helpful and shared with us a lot of information
about the orphanage.

ICE BREAKING SESSION

Activity 1: Hula Hoop

HOW THE GAME GOES?
Simple opening activity
Rule of this activity: Passing the hula hoop to the
next person without letting go the hand
Purpose: Simple game that involves everyone
and enable us to interact with each other and
build up the relationship bond with the kids

Activity 2: Explosion Ball

HOW THE GAME GOES?
Passing the ball around until the music is
stopped
The person who holding it when the music is
stopped will be punished by us
Punishment such as: dancing, singing, talent
show and others
Purpose: To enable the kids to their hidden
talent

SHORT GAMES

GAME 1: MUSICAL CHAIR
Music starts players walk around the circle
When the music stops, everybody scrambles to
find a chair to sit in
The person left standing is out and one chair is
removed and the game is replayed until only one
chair is left
Winner will get present from us
 
Purpose: Improve young learners listening skill

GAME 2: STONE PONG
Stone Pong is a game where players throw a
stone across a table with the goal of landing the
stone in opposing team’s cups
If the stone lands in a cup, the defending team
must remove it from the table and received their
punishment
Each Team take turns to throw until one team
eliminates all of their opponent’s cups.

Purpose: To help them in gaining their braveness
and accept the challenges. To gain their own
confidence and trust on themselves. To educate
them in the sentence of “Never give up easily” which
able to help them in the future

Activity 3: Origami

HOW THE ACTIVITY GOES?
The children will receive different color of papers
Then our team will assign few people to teach
them to do origami

Propose: develops eye hand co-ordination,
sequencing skills, maths reasoning, spatial skills,
memory, but also patience and attention skills.

Activity 4: Drawings

HOW THE ACTIVITY GOES?
Children will be received a book of drawings
Our team will guide them and teach them
patiently
Propose: improve their ordering of sensations,
feelings, ideas and thoughts

HOW THE ACTIVITY GOES?
Using one hand, remove/stack one block per turn
Block may be tested to see how loosely or tightly
they are in the tower prior to attempting to
remove the block, and you don’t have to pull the
block or blocks you touch; however, a jarred block
must be returned to its original position (also
using one hand).
Your turn ends when the next player touches a
block or 10 seconds after you’ve placed your
block on top of the tower. If the tower falls during
the 10 seconds, You lose
Purpose: to make the kids think and strategize.
See who can outwit the opponent better. This
also teach them have to think every time when
they are start doing one thing.
Activity 5: Jenga
