4. Important things to consider for future generations in Texas I think that education funding and potential reforms is essential for our lives as Texans. Our education system has been underfunded for a long time, and it effects the potential for quality education, and the willingness for teachers to come and teach at our schools. Preparing future generations minds is essential a country, and we need to stop holding that back by putting other matters first.

5. Texas’ role on influencing federal government decision-making We are an economic powerhouse, second largest economy in the U.S. in fact, with major industries like energy, agriculture, technology and manufacturing. We have 40 electoral votes, second only to California, making us crucial for presidential elections. As the largest producer of oil and gas in the U.S., we have a huge stake in the national energy policies. We share a 1,200-mile border with Mexico, making us a focal point in national debates about immigration and trade.
