Definition Past perfect is made from the verb had and past participle of a verb. Or Past perfect is had + past participle . 4

How do we make the Past Perfect Tense? The structure of the past perfect tense is: Example: I had finished the work. He had gone . 6 Subject Auxiliary verb Main verb I/we/they/you/he/she/it Had Past participle V3
For negative sentences in the past perfect tense, we insert not . Between the auxiliary verb and main verb. For question sentences, we exchange the subject and auxiliary verb . Look at these example sentences with the past perfect tense: 7 Subject Auxiliary verb Main verb + I had finished my exam + She had left the classroom - We had not played football - He had not come to school ? Had they learned physic? ? Had you written paragraph?
How do we make the Past Perfect tense?(countinue) Sometimes we talk about something that happened in the past: Sarah arrived at the party. This is the starting point of the story. Then, if want to talk about things that happened before this time, we use the past perfect ( had ): When Sarah arrived at the party, Pual had already gone home. 8
