What are Instructions? 2 Instructions tells us how to do something or use something. Instructions are nothing but steps and the order of steps to do something.
How to Wash your Face 3 In the last lesson we learned about the steps for How to Wash your Face. Can anyone tell the steps?
How to Follow Instructions 4 Today, we are going to learn how to follow simple instructions by learning how to build a paper airplane!
Paper Airplane: Step 1 5 Take out your blank paper. Put in on your desk.
Paper Airplane: Step 2 6 Fold the paper in half along the long side of the paper.
Paper Airplane: Step 3 7 Open the paper again. Take one of the top corners and fold it so that it touches the middle line. Do the same thing with the other corner of the paper.
Paper Airplane: Step 4 8 Take the folded corner and fold it again so that it touches the middle line. Do this for both corners.
Paper Airplane: Step 5 9 Take the paper and fold it along the middle line so that the flaps turn outside.
Paper Airplane: Step 6 10 Fold the flaps down so that they start looking like wings.
We have lift off! 11 And we have a paper airplane!!
More Simple Instructions 12 We are going to learn some more simple instructions… we are going to learn to Share!
Share between 2 Kids 13 If you had 6 biscuits that you had to share with your friend Ram, how would you do it?
Share between 2 Kids 14 Give one to Ram and keep one for yourself. Do this till all biscuits are shared. Now, both of you will have equal share of 3 biscuits.
Share between 3 kids? 15 What if one more friend, Shyam, joined you? How will you now share those 6 biscuits?
Share between 3 kids 2 Give one biscuit to Ram, one biscuit to Shyam, and keep one for yourself. Do this till all biscuits are shared. Each one of you will now have equal share of 2 biscuits.
What if there were 7 biscuits? 2 What if you had to share 7 biscuits among 2 children? If you divide them up, you are left with one extra biscuit. How will you share equally now?
How to share the extra biscuit 2 You can cut up the extra biscuit into 2 equal parts. You can give one half to Ram, and keep one half for yourself.
3 and half biscuits! 2 So now Ram has 3 whole biscuits, and one half part of biscuit. You have 3 whole biscuits, and one half part of biscuit!
