It involves deciding which information to notice, how to categorize this information and how to interpret it within the framework of existing knowledge. “ A process by which individuals organize and interpret their sensory impressions in order to give meaning to their environment.
The Halo Effect is the belief that people who are more attractive are treated better and more successful in society. The theory of it has been tested and proven true, but there still is not enough evidence to prove that it works with everyone. Can the halo effect be bad? This effect distorts the way you may see a person or a product, thinking that the person or item is better and more amazing than reality dictates. We are more inclined to gloss over an attractive person’s negative attributes, such as selfishness, and judge them more positively than merited.
