A briefing and mentoring session on Capstone project to formalize the projects and share the project guidelines.   And A briefing session On the Job Training (OJT)and guidelines for presentation of Live project experience

OJT/CAPSTONE PROJECT ( COURSE) Course Objective: This course is designed for PGCM students to complete their culminating Experience for integrative learning. The goal of the OJT/Capstone project is to demonstrate your ability to synthesize and integrate your knowledge developed in the PGCM Business Analytics/ Digital Marketing program.

PROCESS Students in consultation with project head or faculty will select area/topic for further work / research that is appropriate to your educational and professional goals. The Capstone integrative learning experience may take many forms, such as a practice-based or research-based project. While OJT will be defined and detailed by the sponsoring organization.

CAPSTONE PROJECT Capstone Project is the,  culminating project , or final project of the program PGCM- Business Analytics/ Digital Marketing A  capstone project  is a multifaceted assignment that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for students, during their final semester . At AIMA , capstone projects are designed to encourage students to think critically, solve challenging problems, and develop skills such as thinking and analytical skills, research skills, digital media skills, planning and execution skill, self-sufficiency, goal setting along with oral communication, public speaking skills

ON JOB TRAINING The main  objective  of 'on-the- job training ' is to acquaint the students formally to a real life work place environment. This will help to explore the relationship between the knowledge & skills acquired in program with those required in the working situations. Ideally training takes place within the assigned company’s normal job environment and may occur as he or she performs their actual work. But , now it would happen within the workplace using dedicated training rooms, workstations, or equipment, which might be your home itself.

OBJECTIVE Students completing an OJT/Capstone will demonstrate their ability to understand a problem, articulate solutions, think critically about digital marketing/ business analytics challenges/ opportunities, usage of appropriate tools and strategies and demonstrate learning in both written form and oral presentation.

FINAL OUTPUT Final Product: Regardless of form, students are required to produce a high-quality written product that is appropriate for your educational and professional objectives. Written products may include the following: research paper/manuscript, program evaluation report, case study, training manual, policy statement, accompanying supporting research/OJT, etc. Ideally, the written product is developed and delivered in a manner that is useful to external stakeholders and can be add to AIMA repository of students final projects.

Key steps to complete your OJT/Capstone Project (1)OJT/ Capstone Project – Meet with PGCM faculty or other researchers/practitioners to discuss your plans and identify an OJT/Capstone project; (2) OJT/Capstone Course Meeting – Meet with your program director Dr Anuja Pandey to discuss your OJT/Capstone plans, including case company job description and project details; (3) OJT/ Capstone Registration – Email to your program manager and program director after your meeting to summarize option and your OJT/capstone plans and requesting to freeze the option and register your OJT title and company details or your Capstone project tentative title. ( [email protected] and [email protected] respectively ( 4) Prepare a synopsis and submit it on student portal( Cover page , with title , guide name) (5) OJT/Capstone project report – Develop a detailed report of your project covering the introduction, objectives, plans, finding, managerial implication, model etc in soft copy by end of semester (6) Capstone Presentation – Present your OJT/ Capstone at the end of the semester in form of power point presentation in front of experts and attendees ; (7) OJT/Capstone Committee Evaluation – will evaluate your OJT work or the capstone project on the basis of report and the final presentation. Note : in case of OJT, your project supervisor may be invited as expert.

Guidelines for Creating and Presenting Capstone POWERPOINT Presentations Each student will make a presentation of their OJT/capstone project using POWERPOINT. Students can use a maximum of 10- 15 slides for their capstone presentation. This should result in a presentation of 10 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A (total 15 min allocated to each student)

Note: PGCM scorecard and Certification will be awarded only to those students who successfully submit the project report and present their projects during the VIVA presentations.

FORMAT OF OJT/CAPSTONE REPORT A. ALL OJT/ Capstone (Non-Research) report should contain the following: Title page including the project title, project guide names, student’s name, and report submission date Acknowledgement section (optional) Table of contents Abstract/Summary Introduction with literature review and/or background Main Body – other sections as determined by the Capstone Committee, such as key challenges faced by the organization in terms of customer reach, increase penetration, increase awareness, poor digital presents, poor content, low social media presence, branding etc. Discussion and plan of action to overcome challenges and its implications, Conclusion including assessment of digital marketing tools competencies, References

B. Capstone Research Paper format Title page (including the project title, research guide names, student’s name, and paper submission date) Acknowledgement section Table of contents Abstract Introduction with literature review and background Materials and methods including the analytical plan Results Discussion and implications Conclusion (including assessment of tools and techniques of digital marketing) References

The presentation slides should contain the following key information: Presentations should be 12 (minimum) to 15 (maximum) minutes long Title of the OJT/Capstone Brief background on the digital marketing issue addressed in the OJT/Capstone Overview of projects/studies/activities that the student was involved in through the OJT/ Capstone Results of student’s contributions in OJT/Capstone projects/studies/activities Digital Marketing scope and its implications in the OJT/Capstone projects/studies/activities BRIEF (1-2 slides) Justification of how projects/studies/activities helped develop, integrate and synthesize Digital marketing tools and competencies 1 acknowledgement slide to thank the OJT company or capstone project guide.
