Introduction of Tulsi
Scientific Name: Ocimum tenuiflorum (also
known as Ocimum sanctum)
Common Name: Holy Basil or Tulsi.
Origin: Native to the Indian subcontinent,
widely cultivated throughout Southeast
Asia.
Significance: Revered in Hinduism for its religious,
medicinal, and cultural importance.
