Sports In Physical Education. “One of the main goals of sports education is to encourage learners to develop lifelong habits of physical activity and sport that contribute to their overall health and well-being.” ( Deveci , 2023) School sports events promotes skills beyond classroom. Sports education makes significant contributions to physical, emotional and social development of learners.

5. Management Of Sporting Event. Management of sporting events refers to the process of planning, organising, coordinating, and evaluating all the activities and resources required to successfully host a sports event. It includes tasks such as setting objectives, arranging facilities, scheduling activities, providing equipment, ensuring safety, and evaluating outcomes. The organisation of school-based sporting activities, such as athletics days, inter-school tournaments, and physical education programmes, to promote participation, inclusivity, safety, and the development of learners’ physical and social skills.

6. What Is Planning? Planning is the process of setting objectives and deciding in advance the actions, resources, and strategies needed to achieve them in an organized way. Planning is the first stage of event management where organizers decide on: The purpose of the event (competition, recreation, fundraising). The date, time, and venue. The budget and resources needed. The safety and risk management measures.

7. Organizing Organizing is the management function that follows after planning. It involves the assignment of tasks, the grouping of tasks into departments and the assignment of authority with adequate responsibility and allocation of resources across the organization to achieve common goals. Process of Organizing: Identification and division of work. Departmentalization. Assignment of duties Establishing reporting relationships. Importance of organizing: clarity in working relationships Effective administration Development of personnel Expansion and growth.

8. Staffing Importance of staffing : no organization can be successful unless it can fill and keep filled in various positions provided for in the structure with the right people provided . Proper staffing helps in finding competent personnel for various jobs. Staffing helps to ensure optimum utilization of human resources . It improves job satisfaction. One can achieve higher performance by putting the right person into right place.

9. Directing Directing is the process of instructing, guiding, counselling, motivating and leading people in the organization to achieve its objectives. Importance of directing: Initiates action. Ensures co-ordination. Improves efficiency. Facilitates change. Assists stability and growth.
