Recreation is derived from the Latin word, “ recreare ” which means to be refreshed (mapasigla), to relax or to enjoy.
Two types of recreation: Active recreation - involves intense physical activities such as sports and outdoor games.
Passive recreation - involves activities such as walking, watching television, listening to music or reading books.
Moreover, active recreational activities can be done indoor or outdoor.
