Introduction
Hello, my name is Jessie Prosser and I am
doing this project about Places of
Worship. Also I am going to show you
many different types of Places that people
worship their beliefs in many different
religions but they all seem to be the same
thing but at different ways and different
beliefs and places. Let’s start off with the
Jews places of worship.
Synagogues
•There is a Synagogue in Buffalo ,New
York.
•The synagogues to the Jewish is like a
church for the Christians.
•It is the Jewish’s centre of their religion.
•Synagogues is used for prayers and for
their education.
Synagogue
•There are many pieces of
worship in the synagogue.
•Such as the Torah.
•There is also the Ark and
the cabinets to hold there
most important precession
the TORAH.
Temples
•There are many religions that
Temples are used for there
prayers and beliefs.
•There is Hindu, Buddhist,
Jewish, Indian, Sikh and many
more religions that involve a
Temple.
•Temples are used for prayers,
education and many more.
•There is also many Temples
all around Europe.
Golden Temple
•A Very famous Temple is the
Golden Temple in Amritsar
,India.
•The Golden Temple was built
by the Sikh’s on December
1588AD and finished
construction on August 1604
AD.
•It is also known as the
Harmandir Sahib.
•It is the most holiest temple to
the Sikh religion.

•Many Famous people visited there such
has Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip
on October 14 1997.
•All the gold on the Golden temple is real
and was donated by the Indian Emperor
Ranjit Singh.
Christians and Catholics
•Churches are used by the
religions of the Christians
and the Catholic.
•Christians and the
Catholics both believe in
God and Jesus, however
Christians believe you will
go to heaven if you
believe in Jesus and God.
•Catholics Believe you will
only go to heaven if you
had a good life.
Churches
•Churches are very important to
the Christianity religion just like
the Jews and the Sikh’s.
•They go to church to say there
prayers usually every Sunday
morning.
•The symbol for the Christianity
is the cross.
•Churches has been on earth
since the 1600’s
Where are Churches?
•There is Churches all around
the world.
•Christianity is the most
common religion.
•North America and Europe is
where most of the churches
and Christian people live.
•There is always a cross with
Jesus on it to represent there
religion.

•It is the most famous
church and is in the city of
Vatican, Rome.
•It was built on April 8
,1506 and finished in the
year of 1626.
•It is the most largest
church In the world! Also it
can hold up to 600,000
people in side in only
ONE room!
•It is the holiest church to
the Christians and
Catholics.
