2. What is a noun? A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, animal, or event.Nouns are naming words. They help us name everything around us. Person : teacher, doctor, Maria, police officer Place: school , park, mall, Cebu Thing: bag, pencil, toy, book Animal: dog , cat, tiger, elephant, bird Event: birthday, Christmas, fiesta, New Year, graduation 📝 Summary:👉 If a word names someone or something, it is a noun!

3. The Magic S at the Market One sunny morning, Lina went to the village market with her mom. As they walked through the stalls, Lina pointed and said, "Look, Mama! One apple, one banana, one tomato!" Her mother smiled and replied, "Lina, we’re buying more than one . You should say apples, bananas, tomatoes ." Lina looked confused. "Why do we need to add -s or - es , Mama?" Her mom knelt down and said, “When we talk about more than one thing, we change the noun to plural . That way, people know we mean many , not just one!” Just then, the fruit seller laughed and said, "If you ask for one orange , I’ll give you only one !
