Session Goals Understand the importance of positive online behaviour Explore how our online actions affect others L earn how to be safe, respectful, and responsible online Become empathetic and informed digital citizens

Icebreaker – Online Emoji Story In groups, create a short story using only emojis Share your story with the class Discuss how emotions and tone can be misunderstood online

Why It Matters The internet is a public space – your posts can last forever Words can hurt – digital communication lacks body language cues A positive online reputation helps in school, jobs, and life Online kindness encourages others to act the same

Interactive Scenario Discussion Scenario 1: You see a mean comment about a classmate online Scenario 2: Someone shares fake news in a group chat Scenario 3: A friend sends you a photo that should be private Discuss in pairs what action you would take and why.

Key Principles THINK before you post: Is it True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, Kind? Respect privacy – yours and others' Avoid engaging in online arguments Support others – be an upstander, not a bystander Keep learning – stay informed about online risks

Activity – Create a Digital Citizenship Charter In groups, list 5 rules for positive online behaviour Decorate your list with drawings or symbols Present your charter to the class We will create one big ‘class charter’ from all ideas
