Michaela joined SAP in 1997. She held various positions in Global Partner Manage-
ment, the SAP Hosting organization, working with a diverse range of industries
that include retail and service providers. Presently, the area of her focus is world-

Hans G. LANDGRAF
Hans joined SAP in 1992. He has worked in development and consulting of several
industry solutions. Since 2009, Hans has been dealing with postal services as solution
manager and in April 2013 was appointed Head of the business unit Postal Services.

Dr. Heikki NIKALI
Heikki is research director at Itella Corporation, Finland. He has 40 years of research
experience in electronic and paper communication. His area of interest includes factors
that direct the communication behavior of organizations and individuals, particularly,
competition between the print and electronic media. Among other things, he predicted
decrease in letter volume, in his dissertation of mid 1990s, because of electronic substi-
tution everywhere in the advanced countries since the turn of the millennium. He has
many international articles to his credit.
David C. WILLIAMS
David was sworn in as the second independent Inspector General (IG) for the U.S.
Postal Service on August 20, 2003. He is responsible for a staff of more than 1,100
employees that conducts independent audits and investigations for the largest U.S. ci-
vilian federal agency. Williams previously served as IG for five other federal agencies.
In July 2011, he was appointed by the Obama administration to serve as Vice Chair on
the U.S. Government Accountability and Transparency Board. In his work ensuring
accountability, Williams has encouraged the Postal Service and federal agencies to
develop innovative approaches to meet citizens’ needs.
Richard UMBERS
Richard joined Australia Post in 2010 as EGM eServices, a role established to promote
customer facing digital capability within the organization. He was subsequently ap-
pointed to lead the Parcels & Express Services business unit, and its repositioning to
accommodate and benefit from the rapid rise of e-Commerce. Richard previously held
a range of senior and General Management positions in large retail organizations, both
in Australia and overseas, where he developed a particular expertise in online retail,
digital marketing and supply chain. Richard has an honours degree in Geology and
Geography from Exeter University (UK), and a Masters in Finance from the University
of Leicester (UK).
David SPOTTISWOOD
David began his career with TNT IPEC in the eighties and was at the forefront of the
emergence of the Express industry. He also worked with TNT Skypak in the Middle
East. In 1990s, David moved to DHL spending 8 years in different capacities in the
Netherlands and was on the Executive Management Board as deputy MD. He was ap-
pointed as Managing Director DHL Denmark. Following Deutsche Post’s acquisition
