The Revise Bloom’s Taxonomy Presented by: GLYDELLE GRACE BESENIO

The Old Bloom’s Taxonomy Bloom’s Taxonomy is a framework for classifying educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and depth. It was first developed in 1956 by Benjamin Bloom and his colleagues to help teachers design lessons, assessments, and activities that go beyond memorization and develop higher-order thinking skills.

The Domains of Bloom’s Taxonomy Cognitive (Thinking) – this domain involves the development of intellectual skills and knowledge. Affective (Feeling) – this domain involves emotions, attitudes, values, and the development of appreciation or motivation. Psychomotor (Doing) – this domain involves physical movement, coordination, and the use of motor skills through practice, from basic imitations to creating new movements.

The Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy The most commonly used one is the Cognitive Domain, which was later revised in 2001 (Anderson and Krathwohl ). The Revised Cognitive Domain Levels In 2001, Anderson and Krathwohl updated the original taxonomy to reflect how people actually learn and use knowledge today. After 45 years since the publication of Bloom’s Taxonomy, Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl led a new group of experts to work together, the result was what is called the Revised Taxonomy.
