WHY WE CHOSE THIS TOPIC Environmental protection has become an integral part of social welfare, thus as students of social work and law it becomes vital that a study must be conducted that whether the current academic system fulfills the need of educating the students of the country about sustainable education. The Final Report is a survey conducted on 150 students throughout all academic Fields, Science, Humanities, Commerce and Law. A literature Review of 25 Articles have done by our team relating to similar topics of Environmental education in academic programmes.
SIGNIFICANCE The significance of this research is manifold, driven by a deep understanding of the urgent global challenges and the role of HEIs in shaping sustainable mindsets and behaviours. HEIs hold immense influence in shaping students and perspectives and behaviours. By examining the presence and nature of sustainability education – implicit, explicit, or non-existent – this research contributes to the enhancement of education quality.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The methodology employed in this report was designed carefully to gather a comprehensive understanding of students and sustainability competencies within higher education institution(HEI) schemes. The research made use of technology to its advantage, utilising Google forms as the instrument for data collection. this platform allowed for a broad collection of responses, and, importantly, enabled random sampling. The essence of random sampling was crucial to ensure a wide variety of experiences and perceptions were accounted for, enhancing the validity of the research. The questionnaire incorporated a combination of Likert scale-based questions and qualitative descriptive questions, providing a balance between quantitative and qualitative data. . Mean Average of all options is the standard unit for the analysis.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The questionnaire prepared by our team consists of nearly 30 questions, each of the question is to be evaluated using a scale from 1-5 which indicates the magnitude or the level of agreement or disagreemnt in response to the questions. This moderate grade may be influenced by a variety of variables. The course may have made some effort to prepare students for sustainability difficulties in the real world, but these efforts could have been stronger. Another explanation is that there are more opportunities for the course to prepare students for real-world situations.
