2. The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence carried out on August 17,
1945, its became an important event and became a milestone for the
Indonesian people where the Indonesian nation has the right to its
independence. The text of the Proclamation was written at the house of
Admiral Tadashi Maesa, Jl. Imam Bonjol No 1. The compilers of the
proclamation text are Ir. Soekarno, Drs. Moh Hatta and Mr. Achmad
Soebardjo. Text of the Proclamation was typed by Sayuti Melik. In the
morning, August 17, 1945 at the residence of Ir. Soekarno, at 10:00 reading
of the proclamation by Soekarno and short speeches without text. Then
the Red and White flag that was sewn by Mrs. Fatmawati was raised.

Lotus Flower
This plant grows in the water and have roots under water. The leaf stems sprout
so that the lotus leaves can float in the water. The lotus leaves are round and
wide, so the leaves can absorb as much sunlight as possible. This will have an
impact on water evaporation and photosynthesis. Lotus leaf has useful solution as
leaf cleanser. Lotus has a stem with cavity that serves to carry oxygen to the stem
and root. Although rooted in the water, its roots are still able to breathe.

Lego-Lego, Alor Indigenous Dance Meaning Unity
Traditional dance is one of the cultural riches conveyed to ancestors. Traditional dance
often has a noble message and meaning. One of them is the Lego-Lego Dance from the
Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This dance is designed to persuade the people
to unite to build village and country. Each song and poem are revealed while dancing.
Some literature states this dance happens to be a war dance. Now this dance is more
often used to welcome guests.
