Present Tense: When a verb point to an action that is done at the present moment is called present tense.

Types of Present Tense: Present indefinite Tense. Present continues. Present perfect. Present perfect continues.

Present indefinite Tense. It is used to express an action in present time , habitual or usual action or daily event. Affirmative Sentence. Negative Sentence . Interrogative Sentence. Negative Interrogative Sentence.

Stricture of Affirmative Sentence. Subject +fist form of verb + object. Uses: Ali Celebrate his birth day each year She gets up early in the morning. Negative: Ali does not Celebrate his birth day each year She does not gets up early in the morning.

Interrogative Sentence: Stricture: Do/Does + Subj + first form of verb + obj Uses: Do you go to school? Does she come to you? Negative Interrogative. Do you not go to school? Does she not come to you?

Present Continues: Definition: In this tens the action is on going still going on and hence continues . Affirmative Sentence. Negative Sentence . Interrogative Sentence. Negative Interrogative Sentence.

Affirmative Sentence. Stricture: Subj + is/am/are + first form of verb + ing + obj Uses: She is cooking food. I am writing an essay. Negative: She is not cooking food. I am not writing an esay .

Interrogative Sentence: Stricture: Helping verb + subj +first form verb + ing + obj Uses : Is she cooking food? Am I writing an essay? Negative: Is she not cooking food? Am I not writing an esay ?

Present perfect. Definition: In Present perfect the action is complete are has ended hence termed perfect. Affirmative Sentence. Negative Sentence . Interrogative Sentence. Negative Interrogative Sentence.

Affirmative Sentence Stricture: Subj + Has/have + 3rd form of verb + obj Uses: She has cooked the food. I have wrote an essay . Negative: She has not cooked the food. I have not wrote an esay .

Interrogative Sentence: Stricture: Has/have + subj +3 rd form + obj Uses: Have you finished your home work? Has she passed the examination? Negative: Have you not finished your home work? Has she not passed the examination?

Present perfect continues. Definition: In Present perfect continues the action has been taking place for some time and is still on going. Affirmative Sentence. Negative Sentence . Interrogative Sentence. Negative Interrogative Sentence.

Affirmative Sentence. Subj + has been /have been + first form of verb + ing + obj + time refrence . Uses: He has been watering the plant for two hours. I have been studying since three o’clock. Negative: He has not been watering the plant for two hours. I have not been studying since three o’clock.

Interrogative Sentence: Stricture: Has/Have + subj + been + first form of verb + ing + obj + time refrence Uses: Has he been watering the plant for two hours? Have I been studying since three o’clock? Negative: Has she not been watering the plant for two hours? Have I not been studying since three o’clock?
