Although his friends, including Sami Yetik , who were among the members of the society, such as Nazmi Ziya Güran , Namık İsmail, İbrahim Çallı , Hikmet Onat and Mehmet Ruhi Arel , went abroad, some with state scholarships and some with their own means, he himself could not go.Mehmet Ali Laga's work called İstanbulMehmet Ali Laga and his friend Sami Yetik , regarding their duties in Edirne due to the start of the Balkan Wars: “Sami was assigned to the division, and I to the Military Court.
