ICT INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY It is a message knowledge related to anything that need to pass on gather. It's way of passing or receiving the information or the interaction. It is a medium used to transfer pass or received information and communication in either of three ways mentioned.
Education and methods of receiving education have ever been changing starting from Gurukul system of education in the lap of nature to traditional classroom to modern e-Learning it is hard to free see how it will look few decades from now .
Education for centuries was believed to be one field we are technologies cannot proliferate but in last few decrease technology have proved to be extremely helpful for both student and teacher alike. With the discoveries of education best technology's it has become lot easier and more convenient for teachers to explain a concept and written their attention many companies are foraying in the field with their knowledge and technology and building flat forms where students can find everything that they need.
PROS OF ICT IN EDUCATION Access to Information: ICT provides students with access to a vast amount of information and resources, enabling them to learn beyond the confines of traditional textbooks. Enhanced Learning Experience: Multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and interactive simulations can make learning more engaging and effective, catering to various learning styles. Collaboration: ICT tools facilitate collaboration among students, allowing them to work on projects together regardless of physical location, fostering teamwork and communication skills.
Personalized Learning : With the help of ICT, teachers can customize learning materials and adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs and pace of each student. Efficiency: ICT automates administrative tasks such as grading and record-keeping, freeing up teachers' time to focus on instructional activities and providing timely feedback to students.
CONS OF ICT IN EDUCATION Access and Equity: Disparities in access to ICT resources and reliable internet connectivity can exacerbate existing inequalities, leaving some students at a disadvantage. Distraction: The use of ICT devices in the classroom can sometimes lead to distractions, with students being tempted to engage in non-educational activities such as gaming or social media. Dependence: Over-reliance on ICT tools may hinder students' ability to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication without technological aids .
Security and Privacy Concerns: Storing and sharing sensitive educational data online pose risks in terms of security breaches and privacy violations, requiring robust measures to safeguard information. Technological Obsolescence: Rapid advancements in technology can render ICT resources and skills obsolete quickly, necessitating continuous updates and training for educators to stay relevant
