Vision 2021 The central development agenda of the government is focused on meeting the needs required for the youth to become skillful. Active Government Projects in implementation of Vision 2021 E stablishment of the National Skill Development Authority under the Prime Minister’s Office. S etting up Employment and Manpower Office in 64 districts including the four divisions. Vision 2021 Internship Program

Initiatives to implement Vision 2021

Training program for Youth Create a Skills Development program which will provide National Technical Vocational Qualification Framework (NTVQF) training designed for young people. It will provide market-driven skills training in a wide range of sectors, including C onstruction , Hospitality Ready-made garments IT G raphic design E lectrical engineering

Training program for Youth Create an on-the-job apprenticeship model that equips underprivileged youth with the skills that employers need. Young learners will train under specialist crafts persons in various different demand-driven trades. The goal is to equip underprivileged men and women with the skills required for better payments in jobs thus reducing issues like early marriage and substantially increasing incomes.

Importance of the program  World Bank survey of 1,000 readymade garments (RMG) factories, found that in firms located outside Dhaka, lack of adequate and updated skills were the major disadvantage in the sector. Industrial growth came more from capital intensive manufacturing and construction sectors that are domestic market-oriented, rather than the labour intensive export-oriented sectors. In sectors such as Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), shipbuilding and pharmaceuticals, highly skilled professionals are in constant demand. Advancement of technology will require high-skilled labour, focusing on demand-driven skill development system should be the priority for Bangladesh. Entrepreneurship for Youth Design a program for young entrepreneurs in Bangladesh to successfully develop their businesses. Its goal will be to create decent employment opportunities through establishment of youth-led enterprises in local communities. The programme will be open to all business-minded young people in Bangladesh. The programmed includes activity-based classroom training, tailored mentoring support, and access to finance.
