RESEARCH QUESTION I s there any significant improvement of the students’ writing achievement in analytical exposition text after being taught by using a short movie?

Population and Sample The population of this research is the second-grade students of SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung academic year 2023/2024. However, the sample of this research is XI-5. In determining the sample, the researcher use d the Purposive Sampling technique.

Discussion Aziz and Fathiyyaturrizqi (2017) . This research concluded that movies as an alternative media can improve students’ narrative writing skills. Zahroh (2014) . Watching film as media in teaching writing narrative can gain the students’ motivation, and also their enthusiasm in writing skill.

CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTION

Conclusions Short movie can be applied as one of the media to improve the students’ analytical exposition text writing ability. Short movie can help students to improve their writing skill in writing analytical exposition text . The utilization of short movie as teaching media provides students with a visual aid to assist them in composing analytical exposition text and effectively conveying their thoughts , students are provided with a framework for their writing, resulting in a well-structured piece of work. In addition , the use of short movie in learning process adds an element of enjoyment and excitement to the classroom, there by enhancing students' motivation and enthusiasm for the subject matter.

Suggestions Suggestions for English Teachers C onsidering the positive result of the implementation of short movie , English teachers are suggested to apply short movie as an alternative medium in teaching writing, especially analytical exposition text 2. Suggestion for Further Researcher I t is suggested that other researchers can try to discover the effect of short movie in different levels of school. It is also possible to apply this media to teach other skills. To obtain a more accurate data result, the treatment should be applied in more than three meetings. A higher frequency of treatment is required to achieve greater results.
