The Tourism and Hospitality Industry For the industry, it is crucial for someone to develop a personality as an aspirant to the hotel industry or even the restaurants and other tourism and hospitality facilities. Before, we can really say that the human mind has an innate bent towards travel. There were no uniformed personnel to assist them in their travel. The Tourism and Hospitality Industry Today, height requirements are there, age limits have already discouraged some applicants from applying to certain positions, and most of all, the overall personality of the person applying for the job is being checked aside from the skills that he or she could utilize in that position. Almost everywhere, we can find restaurants of various types and specialties. These food establishments are actually an intrinsic part of travel. We see how the restaurants and all other food establishments evolved over the years. 6. The Tourism and Hospitality Industry Lodging facilities may include hotels, motels, apartments, condotels, inns, and other establishments offering food and bed at a specific cost. These lodging facilities grew with travel, as travelers needed places for shelter and food in times during their travel. Resorts have been widely known by various guests in different parts of the world. Importance of Leadership and Personality Development Experts in the tourism and hospitality industries emphasized that personality has a high weight during the screening process, though of course, when applicants get hired, they need to have this striking and pleasing personality always. The leadership capacity of certain applicants is also being checked with the way they present themselves during interviews and by considering the way they handled their past job experiences.
