1.Intro topic: The car of the future on wb
•Ask: How will cars in the future be different from the cars of today?
2.Present key language (paper-strip / wall matching? gapfill? etc.)
Main activity:
1.Listen for gist
2.Jigsaw listening
•Divide ss into groups AAAA, BBBB, CCCC, DDDD
•Hand out AAAA, BBBB, CCCC, DDDD worksheets to each member.
•Ss listen to whole recording & complete gaps on their individual worksheets.
•Compare answers in groups
Listening
2. Re-group:
•Divide ss into ABCD groups
•Hand out ABCD worksheets to all ss
•Ask ss to share their information without looking at each other’s worksheets
•Check answers as a class.
Reading
Warmer:
1.Intro topic: What new technologies have developed in the 100 years?
2.Present key language (paper-strip / wall matching? gapfill? etc.)
Main activity:

•Write Qs on wb

•Ss read their texts, discuss Qs & make notes
2.Re-group

•Ss work from their notes & turn their texts face down to prevent reading aloud
•Ss refer to Qs on wb and discuss answers together
