Description: Thisisathree-unitcoursethatdevelopsstudents’communicativecompetenceandenhancestheircultural
andinterculturalawarenessthroughmultimodaltasksthatprovidethemopportunitiesforcommunicating
effectivelyandappropriatelytoamulticulturalaudienceinalocalorglobalcontext.Itequipsstudents
withtoolsforcriticalevaluationofavarietyoftextsandfocusesonthepoweroflanguageandtheimpact
ofimagestoemphasizetheimportanceofconveyingmessagesresponsibly.Theknowledge,skills,and
insightsthatstudentsgainfromthiscoursemaybeusedintheirotheracademicendeavors,theirchosen
disciplines,andtheirfuturecareersastheycomposeandproducerelevantoral,written,audio-visual

anchoredinthedisciplineofLiteratureinwhichLiteraturegraduatesarespecificallyconsideredcompetitiveandhighlyqualifiedsuch
