Introduction • Rivers plays a crucial in our daily life. • Pollution from urbanization and industry degrades water quality is a main threat • Selected site for project is Puzhakkal River inorder to identify the different impacts in water due to waste that are dumped in it. • Goal: Understand long-term water quality trends for effective management.
Objectives • Annual Water Quality Trend Analysis - Identify pollution trends using statistical techniques. • Water Quality Modeling and Prediction - Use QUAL2K and regression models for forecasting. • GIS-Based Spatial Analysis - Map pollution sources and contamination hotspots. • Field Validation - Conduct water quality tests to improve accuracy.
Methodology: Data Collection • Water Quality Data: Kerala SPCB, CPCB, and other agencies. • Hydrological Data: River flow, discharge, and pollutant loads. • GIS Data: Land use maps, pollution source locations.
