PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT PROGRAM

Fitness is a condition in which an individual has enough energy to avoid fatigue and enjoy life. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

Physical Fitness is a state of health and well- being that enables the individual to perform well in the aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

Health-Related Fitness is the ability to become and stay physically healthy. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

Health-Related Components refer to the factors that promote total health and prevent the beginning of disease and problems associated with an activity. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST

Components of Physical Fitness

Components of Physical Fitness Health-related Fitness Skills-related Fitness

1.Cardio-respiratory Endurance -being able to do and continue physical activities involving the whole body for a long period of time. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

-ability of the heart, lungs and blood vessels to deliver oxygen to working muscles and tissues, as well as the ability of those muscles and tissues to utilize the oxygen. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

2. Body Composition - is the amount of muscle, fat, bone, cartilage etc that makes up our bodies. A healthy amount of fat for a man is between 15&18% and for women is higher at 20-25%. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

BMI (Body Mass Index) Weight- The heaviness or lightness of the person. Height- Distance between the feet on the floor to the top of the head in standing position. Waist Circumference -To measure visceral fat which contributes to more risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes than fat located in other areas.

3.Muscular Strength -ability of the muscles to generate force against physical objects. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

4.Muscular Endurance - is the ability of a muscle to make repeated contractions over a period of time. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

5.Flexibility - ability of the joints to move through a full range of motion. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS

ACTIVITY Physical Fitness Test Health Related

Physical Fitness Test[Health Related] A. Body Composition [BMI] Formula: Weight(kg) Height (m²)

Physical Fitness Test[Health Related] B. Flexibility *Zipper Test & Sit and Reach

Physical Activity Program is an exercise program that is tailored specifically to your needs and is a great way to stay physically and mentally fit. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM

Your physical activities in your Physical Fitness Program will provide additional health benefits such as improved condition of the heart and lungs. Increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness. Furthermore, it also increases aerobic fitness that is provided by an array of activities. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM

Here are the steps in preparing a physical activity program: 1. Consider your fitness goals 2. Create a balanced routine 3. Start low and progress slowly 4. Build activity into your daily routine 5.Plan to include different activities 6. Try high-interval intensity training 7. Allow time to recovery 8. Put it on paper PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM

1. Static Stretching - also known as isometric exercise or the contraction of a particular muscles for an extended period of time. Examples: Upper back stretch - feet slightly wider than shoulder, width apart. Arm circle - circling your arms forward using small controlled motions gradually making the circle bigger. Touch toe - any of plethora of different aerial tricks where one touches the top of one’s feet. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM

2. Dynamic stretching - a movement using the muscles themselves to bring about a stretch. Examples: Jogging - running at a steady gentle pace specially on regular basis as a form of physical exercise. Jumping jack - also known as star jump or side straddle hop. Side shuffles - a popular agility exercise used among athletes of all fitness level. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM
