INTRODUCTION Nursing profession is considered a caring profession to begin with, it was an art and a vocation. It is considered a scientific profession. Nursing is the oldest of arts and youngest of professions. Nursing has a long and rich international heritage, filled with colorful event and people.

NURSING CARE Nursing care is defined as the care of patient with regard to nursing need, with ever increasing dimension of medical sciences quantitatively and qualitatively.

NURSING SERVICES WHO expert committee on nursing defines the nursing services as the part of the total health organization which aims to satisfy major objectives of nursing. Services is to provide prevention of diseases and promotion of health.
