At present GEC has only 72 Faculty + 1 Principal Recruitment or Transfer of (113-72) 41 faculties for SFR of 1:15 and 13 faculties for SFR of 1:20.

FRU Details Comparison of GEC BVN with other institutes Sr. No Parameter GEC BVN Average for 91 st to 100 th Ranks 1 st Rank 1 Student Strength (SS) 1703 3085 6643 2 Financial Resources and their Utilisation (FRU) Total 14.38 Crore Capital Exp. – 0.87 Cror e Operational Exp . -1 4.29 Crore 156.28 Crore 1988.35 Crore 3 CapEx / Student (Rs) 5315 62,118 8,76,769 4 OpEx / Student (Rs) 83916 2,05,882 21,16,395 Considering 91 st to 100 th Ranked institutes , GEC must have M inimum CapEx of Rs . 6 2 000/student* 1703 students = 10.55 crore , which is approx . 10 times higher compared to expenditure of FY 2022-23 M inimum OpEx of Rs . 206000* 1703 = 35.08 crore, which is more than double and half of expenditure during FY 2022-23.

FRU Possible Improvements (Capital Expenditure) Resource Steps to be taken Library r es ou r ces Purchase of Books, E-books and Subscription to E-journals New Lab Equipment and Software Purchase of new equipment Purchase and upgradation of IT hardware every 2 - 3 year s Engineering Workshops Upgrade workshop with m odern m achinery and Tools should be procured . Creation of Capital Assets Latest Technology Enabled Classrooms , S eminar rooms , Auditorium Hall etc . should be prepared .

FRU Possible Improvements (Operational Expenditure) Expenditure head Steps to be taken Salary To improve FSR from present 1/2 3.65 to better than 1/15, A pproximately 41 faculty are required. For every 30 hours of laboratory hours, one laboratory assistant should be recruited. These both will increase operational expenditure under salary head by approx. of 40 - 50%. Operational Expen d itu r e Upgrading/Renovating buildings for academic purpose will also increase recurring maintenance cost. Seminar/ Co n f e r en c es /Workshops etc. With increase in no. of faculty and availability of enough academic infrastructure, expenditure on this head can also be increased.

2. Research and Professional Practice (weight 0.3) Sr. No Parameter P a r am e t er Wise Max Marks GECBVN Average Marks of 91 st to 100 th Ranks Marks of 1 st Rank 1 Combined Metric for Publications 35 3.62 19.86 96.41 2 Combined Metric for Quality of Publications 40 3 IPR and Patents 15 4 Footprint of Projects and Professional Practice 10 With Current 57 no. of paper publications and Quality of publication (Citation 410) the RP can be improved . Academic collaboration and Monetization of patents ( 05) and sponsored research project 01 of Rs. 4,14,902 should improved RP. With improvement in TLR, faculty will have enough time to focus on activities related to Research and Professional Practice.

3. Graduation Outcome (weight 0.2) Sr. No Parameter Parameter Wise Max Marks GEC BVN Average of 91 to 100 th Ranks 1 st Rank 1 Combined metric for Placement and Higher Studies (GPH ) 40 25% 85.5 % 94.3% 2 Metric for University Examinations (GUE) 15 100% 93.9% 70.8% 3 Median Salary (GMS) 25 380 000 700000 1350000 4 Metric for Number of Ph.D. Students Graduated (GPHD) 20 14.18 34.3 231 With improvement in TLR and RP, student result and skill level will be improved which will result in improved placement, higher median salary (Current Rs. 3,80,000 ) etc . , Thus , GO will be improved as a whole . Require separate placement officer and placement cell to maintain placement data. More Industry linkage MOUs should improve GO. Currently 24 students pursuing PhD and PhD students graduated increased from 3 to 5 students.

4. Graduation Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) (weight 0.1) Sr. No Parameter (% of students ) Parameter Wise Max Marks GEC Average of 91 to 100 th Ranks 1 st Rank 1 Other States/ Countries 30 0. 91 % 53.12% 82.88% 2 Women 30 1 6.80 % 32.41% 18.98% 3 Economically and Socially Challenged Students (ESCS) 2 0* 8. 4 5% 12.85% 35.12% 4 Physically Challenged Students (PCS) 20 Adequate good Facility available. Total 20 (0.91%)students are of other states, 0 student from other countries. Total 17 (16.80%) no. of Women Faculty present good ratio and 27 6 girl students in all yrs. Total 156 (8.45%)students are Economically and Socially challenged (ESCS) * Government institutes does not have separate fund for tuition fee reimbursement . Hence , as State Government Institute, reimbursement provided by GoG is considered. Actual figure is 0% if strictly institute figures are considered .

5. Perception (PR) (weight 0.1) T his is done through a survey conducted over a large category of Employers Professionals from Reputed Organizations and a large category of academics to ascertain their preference for graduates of different institutions. Comprehensive list is prepared considering various sectors, regions, etc. Lists updated periodically.
