BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of English-language teaching using study strategies. This analysis ascertained the influence of English language proficiency on the academic performance of students in their profession. In recent decades, a number of studies have focused on foreign language learning, with the emphasis often having been placed on language learning strategies (LLS; Wong and Nunan, 2011; Oxford, 2016). Several studies have confirmed that these strategies aid students in becoming more effective learners inside the classroom and foster more efficient development of students’ mastery of the target language after leaving school (Wong and Nunan, 2011).

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY Some studies have dealt with the effect of LLS use on language proficiency. Both Liu (2010) and Platsidou and Kantaridou (2014) pointed out that learning strategy influences language use and that it plays a significant role in anticipating perceived language performance. Many people want to learn English and increase their communication for either general or specific purposes such as getting a better job, going abroad, having foreign friends, etc. Regarding the importance of English and the willingness of many people to learn English, and many different ways of learning it.

INVESTIGATING MULTIMODAL INSTRUCTION FOR A DIVERSE LEARNING SYTLE OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT AT PERPETUAL HELP COLLEGE OF PANGASINAN BSE 3-A

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY In recent years, the educational landscape has been constantly evolving ,particularly in response to a growing number of diverse learners in classrooms. As the demand for English proficiency are vastly rising, educators now deals with challenges in teaching English to a wide variety of learners. In Philippines, English is one of the official languages and is used as a medium of instruction in many educational institutions. According to, Pashler et al., 2008, he stated that Learning styles are considered to have an impact in any learning situation regardless of content and this “refers to the concept that individuals differ in regard to what mode of instruction or study is most effective to them". Taking into that consideration, applying flexible and inclusive teaching approach should cater learners with distinct linguistic and cultural background, abilities and learning style preferences.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY This study, intends to investigate how multimodal teaching can contribute valuable insights into the ongoing efforts, to enhance English language teaching for diverse learner. It seeks to identify certain challenges in which affects the efficacy of facilitating learning and overall satisfaction. Through tailoring mode of instruction to accommodate the needs of learners, there will be several problems as well, as stated by other researches. Furthermore, the findings of this study will aid curriculum developers, decision-makers, and educators in creating and implementing inclusive practices in English Language Teaching. We believe that the school, as a whole, students, teachers, staff, parents and community caught the attention in a way that each members function as a support and motivators ,to those who are addressing the unique needs of students across instruction modalities. Aside from that, this paper will give proofs and will state strategic plans that came from the result of our questionnaire itself.

This study aims to investigate various English teaching approaches tailored to address the needs of high school students at Perpetual Help College of Pangasinan. Specifically it sought to answer the following: 1. What are the preferred mode of instruction by the student in learning English? 2. What are the challenges of students with varying learning preferences encounter when learning English? 3. What action plans can be developed to enhance teaching methods aligned with a student's learning style? STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

BREAKING THROUGH LANGUAGE BARRIERS: STRENGTHENING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF GRADE 12 STUDENTS AT PERPETUAL HELP COLLEGE OF PANGASINAN BSE 3-A

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY In today's globalized world, being able to communicate effectively in English language is crucial. It gives people the confidence to have meaningful conversations with a wider audience. Which acts as a connection across cultures, making information and opportunities more accessible. However, despite the use of English language as the a medium of instruction many studesnt are still struggling in understanding and communication beacuse of language barries.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY Nulab (2024) described language barriers as any linguistic limitation that generates confusion or avert comprehension. These blockades could be cultural differences, a lack of vocabulary, or the use of slang and jargon. Hence, language barriers hinder the students' ability to properly learn and converse in English eloquently. It can lessen their academic performance, which will prevent them from participating in class and expressing their ideas confidently. In a sociological examination of Japanese-Portuguese interpreters in the Brazilian steel industry, I argue that the "language barrier," typically viewed as a challenge, can actually facilitate communication by preventing individuals with potentially conflicting concepts, beliefs, and customs from directly confronting one another.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This study explores the English communication of grade 12 students at Perpetual Help College of Pangasinan , to develop strategies that will cater the challenges encounter and enhance their English communication skills This research specifically aims to respond to the following queries: 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents? a. Age b. Sex c. Strand

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM 2. What typical obstacles do high school pupils face when they want to learn and communicate in English? 3. What effects do these linguistic obstacles have on their confidence and academic achievement?
