2. Role of Individual in prevention of pollution There are lots of environmental problems caused by human activities on environment. We must recognize that each of us is individually responsible for quality of our environment. It can be done by following some of the following suggestions/concepts Develop respect for all forms of life Help more in pollution prevention than pollution control Plant more trees and take care of them. They reduce air pollution Use eco-friendly products

3. Reduce your dependency on fossil fuel especially coal or oil. Try to avoid asking plastic bags when you buy vegetables or glossary, instead use cloth bags Avoid buying the things containing CFC as it destroys ozon layer Save electricity by not wasting it when not required because electricity save is electricity produced without polluting the environment Adopt and popularize renewable sources Reduce the use of wood and paper products whenever possible. Manufacturing paper leads to pollution and loss of forests. Try to recycle paper products and use them

4. Promote reuse & recycling whenever possible and reduce production of waste. Use mass transportation system. For short visits use bicycle or go on foot. Decrease the use to automobiles. Buy consumer goods in refillable containers instead of throw away cans or bottle Start individual or community composting in your neighbour and motive people to join Do not put pesticides, paints solvents oils or other harmful chemical in to drain or groundwater Use only minimum required amount of water for various activities. This will prevent fresh water from pollution When building a home save (don’t cut) as many tree as possible in the area

6. Check population growth so that the demand of the material is under control Take care to put in to practice what you preach. Remember environment protection begin with you.
