2. A police intern for the city of Riverside, California, Sammie Ayoub handles community relations and analyzes criminal data. Also master’s student at the University of California in Riverside, Sammie Ayoub applies his qualitative research skills and teaches public policy. Courses he has led include the philosophy of race and public policy. Mr. Ayoub entered UC Riverside in 2019 as an undergraduate student in political science and international affairs after completing coursework at Riverside City College. While at Riverside City College, he earned a position as a student trustee, where he sought to expand the voting rights of future office-holders. Before entering graduate school, Mr. Ayoub taught English to kindergarten and elementary students at FasTracKids in Pangyo , Gyeonggi-do in South Korea. He prepared lesson plans, adjusted the curriculum to fit students’ backgrounds, graded assignments, and reported to parents. He is certified in teaching English as a foreign language. Mr. Ayoub’s other academic experience includes the Model United Nations, where he won distinguished delegate awards for representing the United States and Palestine.
