Camping An outdoor activity that involves staying the night/more than one night in a protective shelter out in nature.

Basic Camping Requirements 1. Appropriate Clothing - The camper must determine how many days he/she will stay at the camp and must bring comfortable clothing.
2. Toiletries - Campers must set aside a pouch for toiletries. *toothbrush *toothpaste *Comb
3. Sleeping Bag or Tent Sleeping bags come in different sizes and types that suit the users. Sleeping bag use for protection and comfort while sleeping.
4. Medical Kit - The school usually brings a Medical kit in case of any accident. However, the camper may also bring his/her own first-aid kit.
Trekking It is a journey through mountainous region for at least two days. It may take place in high peaks and passes or be through difficult obstacles and plains.
Guides in Trekking Brief participants on the technique required for participation and introduce organizing and supervising groups.
Set up and maintain equipment. Ensure that they are in good working condition and are safe to use. Demonstrate the use of equipment.
Educate participants regarding safety measures and ensure that activities are properly conducted. Provide first-aid assistance and take appropriate further action if required.
Tips to be an Effective Trekking Guide 1 . Be a good communicator he/ she must be articulate. 2. Be a master storyteller - Leading a trek involves more than selling the sights and sounds; it is also about sharing the history of place and the culture of its people.
3. Be flexible he/ she be able to adjust to spontaneous moments and use a unique approach for different type of participants. 4. Be considerate of cultural/individual differences - Having a culturally diverse group in a trek is possible, therefore the trekking guide must have the skill to tailor the activity and presentation to fit or respect the participants cultural identities and expectations.
5. Know how to apply first aid. he/ she must be prepared to administer first aid properly in case of accidents and injuries. 6. Have a sense of Humor - Some participants might have a short attention span so an effective trekking guide must know how to inject some zest into his/ her presentation and make the trek more enjoyable.
