SHADOWS AND ECLIPSES

  Shadows   - happen when the illumination comes from a limited source, and convinces us. A   shadow -  is a dark (real image) area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object.

An  eclipse   - is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the  shadow  of another body.

WHY ECLIPSES OCCUR?

What is S olar Eclipse? Solar eclipses  happen when the New Moon comes between the Sun and Earth and blocks out the Sun's rays . The new moon falling on January 6, 2019 at 1:28 UTC will pass between the Earth and sun, to stage a partial  eclipse  of the sun

Lunar  eclipses  occur whenever the full moon passes into the  shadow  of the earth. A  lunar eclipse  occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly
