Shadow and eclipses lesson

1. SHADOWS AND ECLIPSES

2.   Shadows   - happen when the illumination comes from a limited source, and convinces us. A   shadow -  is a dark (real image) area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object.

3. An  eclipse   - is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the  shadow  of another body.

7. Lunar  eclipses  occur whenever the full moon passes into the  shadow  of the earth. A  lunar eclipse  occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly
