Description of self concept inventory The SCQ was developed by Dr. Raj Kumar Saraswat consisting of 48 items . It provides six separate dimensions of self-concept: Physical- Individuals view about their body physical appearance, health and strength. Social- Individuals view about their sense of worth in social interactions. Temperamental- Individuals view about their prevailing emotional state or predominance of a particular kind of emotional reaction. Educational- Individuals view about their relation to school, teachers and co-curricular activities. Moral- Individuals view about their moral worth, right/wrong activities. Intellectual- Individuals awareness of their intelligence and capacity to solve problems.
Reliability of the inventory was found by test-retest method, and it was found to be 0.91 for the total self-concept measure. For its other dimensions the reliability varies from 0.67 to 0.88.
