Self-Image The mental picture you have of yourself — how you think you look, behave, and perform. Often influenced by society, media, and peers.
Self-Concept Self-concept is your overall understanding and belief about who you are . It includes: Your beliefs about your abilities, values, roles, and identity Formed over time through experiences, feedback, and self-reflection It answers the question: “Who am I?” Example : “I’m a creative person who is also responsible and kind.”
Self-Esteem How much you value yourself — your self-worth. High self-esteem = confidence; Low self-esteem = self-doubt.
Activity 1: Mirror Talk Students complete: - I like myself because... - I am proud of... - I want to improve...
Activity 2: Draw Your Self-Image Students draw how they think they appear vs. how they feel inside. Discuss in small groups.
Activity 3: Self-Concept Collage Group activity using newspapers/magazines to create a collage representing 'Who Am I?'.
Activity 4: Boost a Buddy Each student says one positive quality about the person to their right. Builds external validation and appreciation.
