Beginning of Good Parenting
Proverbs 9:10
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning
of wisdom, knowledge of the Holy One
is understanding.”

2. Proverbs 2:1-5
1 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,

     turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding,

     and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,

     and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,

the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.

•We need a generation of men who will turn
away from evil!!

the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

(stability-dependability, trustworthiness,
steadfastness, security, safety)

The fear of the Lord is your treasury room
(storage vault, storehouse for food, arsenal
for weapons, vat for wine.)

Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord.
The Lord bless you from Zion!
May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of
your life!
