2. Significance of Educational Technology to teachers Educational technology helps the teacher to do the right thing at a right time. Educational technology has a tremendous capacity to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The use of various technological aids by the teacher improves the structure of learning and specifies the learners activity. Teachers can motivate the students for self learning with the help of educational technology

3. Cont., Teacher can improve the communication skills of the students with the help of audio-visual software developed by the departments of educational technology like SIET or CIET. Teacher can explain difficult scientific concepts, laws, theories, principles, by using different audio-visual aids. A teacher should have good collection of educational software like audio tapes, video tapes, DVDs, CD-ROMs, and he should make it available to the students. Teacher should develop programmed instructions on various topics and use them in the class room.

4. Cont., It helps the teacher to teach effectively in the classroom. Teacher should also prepare software materials like transparencies, slides, etc., to upgrade the knowledge of the students in case if they are not available in the market. Teacher should always be in contact with the authorities of and upgrade his knowledge. SIET and CIET It helps the teacher to teach less and makes the learner to learn more.

5. Cont., A teacher can use the knowledge of ‘ Instructional Technology’ by applying psychological theories and principles which helps in the cognitive development of the students. A teacher can use the knowledge of ‘ Teaching Technology ’ to develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the students. A teacher can use the knowledge of ‘ Behaviour Technology ’ by employing various models of teaching on different subjects. Teachers should always participate in various seminars, programmes , functions on educational technology and he should enhance his knowledge and use it in the classroom.
