Challenge Problem statement : To avoid the backward flow of blood Prevent air bubbles from entering into blood stream Health Care | Smart Saline Monitoring System

Significance Severity : Severity of improper monitoring leads to dehydration, over hydration, electrolyte imbalance, infection risk, tissue damage, pulmonary edema. Problem encountered within universe of beneficiaries: In the universe of beneficiaries, including patients, it’s crucial to ensure proper monitoring of saline administration to avoid serious consequences and provide quality healthcare. Health systems, healthcare providers, and technology can play a important roles in preventing improper monitoring and ensuring patient safety. Reason to choose this problem: One of my neighbour had suffered a lot due to nurse improper monitoring of their saline bottle i.e. leads to backward flow of blood. This improper monitoring sometimes leads to high blood pressure and heart rate so inorder to save life we have chosen this problem .

Target User Hospital Nursing homes Health centres Use case T he specific use case for the target users : A specific use case for a smart saline monitoring system could be in a hospital setting where it is used to track and manage IV saline fluid delivery for patients. This system would target healthcare professionals, such as nurses and doctors, how need to ensure that patient receive the correct amount of saline solution and monitor their hydration levels accurately.

Existing Solutions T he alternative solutions (products) that are available in the organized market today : Manual monitoring Flow rate regulators Electronic health records Remote monitoring system Smart IV pumps

Adoption Barriers Financial barrier Cost Return on investment Technical barrier Integration complexity Data management Functional barrier Data security and Privacy Training and Education

Value Proposition T he value proposition statement crafted for the target customer: By continuously tracking and optimising saline administration in real time, our technology ensures optimal hydration levels while preventing over hydration or under hydration thus enhancing patient safety and well being. With our system you can save time , reduce errors and improve patient outcomes. Gains from solving the problem: Enhanced patient safety Reduced human error Proper hydration management Pains that are relieved: Patient risk Healthcare cost Staff workload Resource inefficiency

Specific gaps/challenges in the existing solutions: Limited real time monitoring Human error Data overload in electronic health records Cost consideration Ways that Smart Saline monitoring system is better than alternatives: Enhanced efficiency Accuracy Reduction in alarm fatigue Better resource utilization

Solution Concept (MUP) This system can provide real-time data to ensure proper hydration and alert medical professionals in case of any issues or deviations from prescribed treatment plan i.e. in saline level. This system improves patient safety and allows for more efficient healthcare management. IR Sensor NODEMCU Notification
