What is Psychology? It is the study of human behaviors. It is the mental characteristics or attitude of individual group of people. It helps in understanding how an individual think. 3

Relationship of sociology and psychology Psychology is the study of human behavior while sociology provides necessary materials regarding the structure, organization and culture of society, in which human behavior is born. Sociology studies human behavior in groups while psychology analyses attitudes, emotions, perception, process of learning and values of individuals and process of personality formation in society. 4

Difference between Sociology and Psychology So ciology Psychology Studies societies and social systems as a whole Is the study of the mind, as well as the behavior of individuals or small groups It focuses group of people. Tends to focus on one individual at a time Can be applied to both research jobs and positions that work with specific individuals in order to help them improve their lives Tends to be applied to jobs that encompass a large scope of recipients 5
