However, these school was just for the elite ( mga piling tao lamang ). Spanish and friars missionaries served as a teacher. Established a complete system of education in the archipelago
Royal decree of 1863 __________________________ Provided Normal S chool (teacher-training schools) run by Jesuits to educate male teachers (Maestros) in Manila Normal school for women ( Maestras ) were not established until 1875 Therefore, the Spaniards started training teachers in Normal Schools. An institution created to train teachers by educating them in the norms of pedagogy and curriculum .
What is Royal decree? __________________________ A Royal Decree-law is a legal rule having the force of a law in Spanish legal system. The name “Royal ” is given because it has state rank and it is the king who is responsible for sanctioning and ordering the publication and compliance of the rule.
